Sisu Diesel Citius Series engines for construction machinery
Over the past 60 years Sisu Diesel has achieved a strong global position in off-road diesel engine applications, especially within the agricultural sector, such as in tractors and combine harvesters. Recent investments totalling EUR 30 Million in engine assembly and key component production allow Sisu Diesel to continue its strong growth also in the coming years.
Sisu Diesel is aiming to strengthen its presence in additional off-road segments, such as construction and mining machinery and power generation. Sisu Diesel’s new Citius Series diesel engines comply with Stage 3A / Tier III emission requirements and offer a wide power range of 50 to 400 Hp suitable for most demanding heavy duty off-road applications.
Citius Series engines feature the latest generation Common Rail fuel injection system. The CR components and basic software is supplied by Bosch, while the customized “SisuTronic” software has been developed in-house by Sisu Diesel. Common Rail technology offers many advantages, such as maintaining constant high injection pressure and phasing the injection in up to five stages. The result is fast engine response, lower running noise and excellent fuel economy.
At the BAUMA exhibition Sisu Diesel is introducing two Citius Series engines:
SisuDiesel 49 CWA-4V Max. power 130 kW SisuDiesel 74 CTA-4V Max. power 206 kW
Sisu Diesel has also developed new series of the engines for power generation that complies with the latest EU Stage 2 and US Tier II emission limits for gen set engines covering a power range of 80 – 280 kVA.
