New 3-cyl. Common Rail engine is launched in SIMA exhibition
SISU DIESEL IS LAUNCHING NEW 3-CYLINDER COMMON RAIL ENGINE IN SIMA EXHIBITION IN PARIS 4TH - 8TH MARCH 2007
SISUDIESEL 33 CTA: COMPACT SIZE - HIGH PERFORMANCE
Sisu Diesel is the pioneer in three cylinder tractor engines with more than 50 years tradition. Already in mid 50’s Sisu Diesel introduced the three cylinder engine with direct fuel injection, liquid cooled, with wet replaceable cylinder liners and with cross-flow cylinder head. This engine and its further developed successors are well known in several tractor brands, such as Valmet / Valtra, Massey Ferguson, Case, Steyr, Challenger and Eicher. Now Sisu Diesel introduces its new 33 CTA engine with the same basic design principles, a high performance three cylinder, turbocharged, air to air charge cooled and with common rail fuel injection technology. It is the most powerful three cylinder, compact tractor engine in the world, with the following main details:
- displacement 3.3 litres - bore and stroke 108 mm , 120 mm - nominal rating 101 hp / 74 kW @ 2200 rpm - max rating 110 hp / 81 kW @ 1900 rpm - max torque 450 Nm @ 1500 rpm - emission compliant to EU Stage 3A and EPA Tier 3 - Common Rail components Robert Bosch GmbH - Engine control software SisuTronic by Sisu Diesel Inc.
The new engine is ideal for tractor power source. In addition to phenomenal performance, it offers the possibility for a short wheelbase, small and agile tractor with minimal turning radius. The engine has a load bearing structure and requires no separate frame on tractor. Main facts for the competitiveness of this three cylinder SisuDiesel engine are: sturdy basic design which allows both high frame load as well as high power density, excellent fuel economy, it is short and compact in size, minimal number of components, high reliability and durability, also commercially competitive. Above all, the 33 CTA SisuDiesel engine offers the performance of a traditional four cylinder engine.
The SisuTronic engine control software allows many optional and special features controlled via CAN bus or by analog signal. Optimisation of SisuTronic software according to customer requirements, CAN bus communication and easy to use Service Tool offer unbeatable benefits both for the OEM as well as for the end user.
The new three cylinder common rail engine is a member of the SisuDiesel off-road engine family with two four cylinder engines, 4.4 and 4.9 litres, and three six cylinder engines, 6.6, 7.4 and 8.4 litres. This engine family is excellently standardized covering 60 to 410 hp range.
